Today I visited for the first time Ellis Island Casino and Brewery.  I loved it. When you enter this place is like having a flashback of old style Vegas.  As much as I like the mega hotels and all the technology on the Strip, for me there's nothing like visiting these little gems that make us nostalgic of the old days.  


Amenities at Ellis Island include over 350 gaming machines (low key casino) several restaurants, a micro-brewery, karaoke lounge and free parking, among others.  The restaurants are notorious for the great food, generous portions and the low prices.

Today I went to their famous BBQ restaurant.  This is a very small restaurant and there's no menu because all they serve is BBQ chicken and ribs.  The barbecue was wonderful, generous portions and the price was even better.  Delicious and cheap - this is my kind of place.
